Upon graduating from St. Clair College’s Musical Theatre Performance program, Courtney spent two summer seasons performing as a dancer/singer at Diamond Tooth Gerties Casino in Dawson City, Yukon.

After completing her final season in Dawson in 2011, Courtney moved to Toronto. She began training with Matthew Harrison of The Actor’s Foundry located out of Vancouver, BC and fell in love with film and television acting, deciding to completely change the focus of her career path.

After an exciting flashback to the 80’s playing Paul Spence‘s (FUBAR) wife and roles on “Lost Girl” and “Reign“, she became a member of ACTRA Toronto where she got involved in ACTRA’s YEAA committee.  She has since had a guest starring roll on Murdoch Mysteries and appeared on Orphan Black and Suits. On stage she performed in Oklahoma, Fiddler on the Roof, Steel Magnolias and Rabbit Hole, to name a few.

Courtney is now expanding her resume as a producer and writer. Since developing her production company “Deelen with Trouble Productions” with her partner Michael T. Burgess, they have successfully completed 3 short films, a PSA, a concept trailer and 3 commercials within the last year.

Her short films How Not To Look For Love and Life with John will be debuting on the 2017 film festival circuit.

Courtney continues to create her own work in film and on stage, giving her the freedom to tell the stories and to collaborate with artists that inspire her.
